Mechatronics in producition processes

Mechantronics is combining several different engineering disciplines, whereby complex issues can be solved better and more efficiently. At Z-tech mechatronics comprises the combination of fine mechanics and control techniques. Where in the past a problem was often solved just mechanically, the solutions can be found in the combination. This provides better, more flexible and faster production processes.

The trick is the clever usage of knowledge and tools

Z-tech possesses knowledge in the field of fine mechanics and controls. The engineering department consists of highly qualified employees and they work with modern development software to move projects faster and more efficient. However it does not completely revolve around high grade knowledge and tooling but the clever and creative use of innovation. By using a bird eye view the optimal combination can be found to achieve the best result.

Solidworks and inventor are essential tools

On our mechanical engineering department work is performed with the newest software systems such as Solidworks and Inventor. With Solidworks ideas made by inventors can be made into a product more easily and efficiently. Inventor like Solid works is a 3D CAD software and for our engineers essential for mechanical engineering design, documentation and product simulation. Many of our clients work with Inventor and Solidworks as well, and as such data can be exchanged and reviewed easily. These softwaresystems are continuously being improved in regards to user friendliness and functionality. The engineers of Z-tech keep their knowledge up to date and implement de improvements into their procedure.

SCADA, hardware and software engineering

For the development of control systems structure is essential. That is why we at Z-tech use functional principles and flowcharts. This method ensures the proper oversight is kept over the entire process and forms an important link between mechanics and control. For the development of hardware our engineers work with Eplan. This system ensures that during the duration of the projects the efficiency is optimal. In addition for PLC and PC controls software from Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi and Beckoff are utilized. SCADA-systems are employed to visualize and to serve in the installation of  the production process. Trends with regard to dropouts, for example, can be monitored and the number of failures can decrease due to early detection and troubleshooting. Ultimately, a SCADA system in combination with a CBA interface (condition-based maintenance) ensures that the production process is constantly optimized and minimized failure.

Simplicity by using BUS-modules

For the cabling of both operating systems, vision systems as well as peripherals and overhead communication systems, we use BUS modules. These BUS modules have the advantage that cabling becomes simpler and that systems can communicate with each other more easily and directly.
