Automated Inserting

The Haeger robot cell is the combination of 2 proven technologies. This combination of a Haeger inserting machine and an industrial robot makes it possible to have an automated and autonomous production cell for placing inserts without errors in sheet metal products.

The Haeger Robot Cell has a fully integrated Touchpanel

On the central Touchpanel, both the Haeger pressing machine and the robot as well as the safety guard can be operated and the actual status can been shown.

Parametric programming

The robot (cell) can easily be programmed by entering parameters on the panel, for example product dimensions, hole positions, stacking positions, etc. The product information can also be imported via a xls file or csv file. The product specific information is stored in a recipe. When switching to another product, the recipe number can easily be selected, so that all parameters of that specific product are loaded.

Self-learning robot:

The robot cell has a vision system, distance measuring sensor and hole detection sensor:

The vision system determines the exact position of the product in the gripper.
The distance measuring sensor determines the height of product stacks: raw, processed product and possibly separating materials.
The robot has a search routine to find the exact position of the holes, based on the given basic position. A sensor integrated in the Haeger machine detects the exact position of a hole. The delta coordinates are automatically stored in a database.

Short changeover times:

The specific product gripper is mounted on a quick-change clamping system. In combination with a simple selection of the recipe on the touch panel, the robot cell is very quickly ready for the production of another product.
